About the event
Join us for a hands-on zinemaking workshop rooted in the legacy of independent publishing as a tool for resistance, self-expression, and collective storytelling.
Zines, small, self-published booklets, have long been used to share ideas, amplify underrepresented voices, and circulate truths that mainstream media often ignores or distorts. In this workshop, we’ll explore how zines can be a form of community-based media, a creative outlet, and a way to shape and share narratives that matter to us.
We’ll look at zines across genres and movements, reflect on the stories we want to tell, and create our own using collage, writing, drawing, and more.
All levels of experience are welcome! Materials will be provided.
